Duroc Gran Reserva Ham, made in a completely natural way, without preservatives, from Duroc Jersey pigs, known for their great fat infiltration among the lean meat.
Produced under the conditions of the ETG (Guaranteed Traditional Speciality) quality seal of the European Union.
It is produced in Sierra Nevada (Granada), an area also known as the Alpujarra of Granada, an area known worldwide for the production of Trevélez hams.

The Gran Reserva Duroc Ham is made from Duroc Jersey breed pigs. This breed of pig is the only one whose crossbreeding with Iberian pigs is permitted to produce Iberian ham, given its high degree of fat infiltration (similar to that of the Iberian pig). Hence the high quality of the hams obtained from this variety of pig.
It is a Gran Reserva ham, prepared under the quality standards required by the European Union to award the Seal of Guaranteed Traditional Speciality.
This Duroc Ham is produced without preservatives, in a traditional way and is subjected to a very slow natural curing process, which can take over 25 months. 10 months longer than the requirements of the regulations for the production of a Gran Reserva Serrano ham (15 months), which is undoubtedly evident in the extraordinary final result.
